VH1: The Big '80s: Power Ballads is an excellent collection of hard-rock ballads mostly (but not entirely) devoted to hair-metal bands. If you're a fan of power ballads, you'll enjoy pretty much everything here, since most of these tunes were quite popular in their day -- and there's very little overlap with the also excellent Monster Ballads compilation, making this a highly attractive purchase. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
