The Porkers finally return with a follow-up four years after their debut, Grunt, and Hot Dog Daiquiri is pretty similar, although it does find the band's musicianship a bit more polished. The Porkers court trendiness with a bit of retro-swing styling, but add touches of straight reggae and calypso to their ska-punk fusion that make them a bit more distinctive than the average such band, even if their songwriting is sometimes inconsistent. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
