Longtime fans won't need to pick up yet another two-disc best-of compilation since 2005's Unite covered that ground three years prior. The track lists are nearly identical -- 15 of the 21 tracks are included on both collections. Regardless, it's hard to deny that The Ultimate Collection represents the best of the band that played the best ska revival in the late '90s. The meat of the lineup is culled from the band's prime -- more than half of the tracks are from 1997's The Supertones Strike Back and its follow-up, 1999's Chase the Sun. Though the musical landscape eventually changed around them, their mastery of their craft is on supercharged display throughout this collection. ~ Jared Johnson, All Music Guide
