Released a few months in advance of their critically acclaimed second effort, Pigwalk, 1996's Violated EP previewed what would be one of that album's strongest songs (its title track), added a live version of soon-to-be fan-fave, "Monster," and rounded everything out with few lighthearted outtakes (the sludgy "U.B.Otch" and the punkish "Pizza Man"), a demo of the then unreleased "Hate Must be a Gift", and a cover of Black Sabbath's "Sweet Leaf." All of these contributed to the delight of Stuck Mojo's hardcore faithful, who were later re-gifted the entirety of Violated as part of the expanded 2006 reissue of Pigwalk. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
