All Music Guide Review

Charming and focused, Grand Drive's Road Music carries an apropos title. Laced with organs and acoustic guitars, it makes the perfect soundtrack to a drive. Road Music is the kind of album that slowly sneaks up on the listener. It doesn't strike a chord until after a few listens. Singer Danny Wilson is clearly a Bob Dylan fan, having fashioned his nasal vocals after his. The downbeat album is slightly depressing in tone, but from the first track, "Tell It Like It Is," to "Wrong Notes," Road Music is a pleasure to listen to. [Road Music, originally released in April 1999 by Loose Records, was re-released in April 2001 by RCA Victor.] ~ Christina Fuoco, All Music Guide
