    Boasting three discs with a total of 40 tracks -- with a name like Classic Rock Hits, the play list better deliver -- this Sony compilation manages to somehow connect the dots of rock between artists as diverse as Poison, Donovan, and the Hooters. Fans of any of those three acts are likely to find more than a few tunes that "do it for them," and any fan of classic rock radio -- which now includes the '80s and early '90s -- will recognize each and every cut. For those out there who have always wanted to hear Boz Scaggs fade lovingly into the Spin Doctors, this collection's for you. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
