With the recent leak of nine "mastered, finished" cuts from Guns N' Roses' fabled Chinese Democracy full-length, talk has turned to whether or not the band will release the record in an exclusive deal with either Best Buy or Wal-Mart. According to Billboard.com, several options are being considered, from selling the album through standard channels to unleashing it at one big-box store. The latter wouldn't be a surprise considering GNR is managed by Irving Azoff's Front Line Management. Azoff is a vocal supporter of exclusive deals, including the one he struck between The Eagles and Wal-Mart for the group's Long Road Out of Eden LP.
Front Line and Guns N' Roses' label, Interscope Records, haven't commented on Chinese Democracy's fate as of yet. Neither have Best Buy or Wal-Mart.
