Josh Hartnett will star in a British stage adaptation of the 1988 film Rain Man beginning this summer.
The stage version debuts in London, with Hartnett assuming the role of Charlie Babbitt, which helped transform Tom Cruise into a household name. The film centers around an autistic man and the younger brother who cares for him, though his initial motivations for doing so are money-driven. British thespian Adam Godley will portray "Rain Man" Raymond Babbitt, originally played by Dustin Hoffman. Hoffman won an Oscar for his portrayal.
The play will run at the Apollo Theater from August 20 through December 20.
