Eliot Morris Biography
Growing up listening to his favorite albums such as Paul Simon’s Graceland or Jackson
Browne, who he has sometimes been compared, Morris admits he never really plotted a
musical career back in those days. “I never even picked up a guitar until I was a sophomore
or junior in high school. But I was always aware I had the inclination, I guess. I
have a theory that we only truly evolve after we understand who we are,” he says.
Building on his love of the South and creating a slow-burning buzz through a constant
blur of touring. Eliot Morris has toured extensively including opening slots for John
Mayer and Counting Crows, among others.
“What’s Mine Is Yours” features collaborations with the album’s primary producer, Tony
Berry, and Eliot’s longtime writing partner Ilya Tosinski, Dan Wilson of Semisonic and
David Lindley (Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, James Taylor)
